Evolutionary psychology, research into species evolution & the development of human culture, is translated into a work of speculative fiction where the human story is reimagined as a sculptural collage of porcelain.
Creating this piece led to the development of the entire Origins Project. A studio move during the early stage of its creation, before it had been fired, caused serious damage to the piece, necessitating a complete redesign and the loss of about 4 feet in height. It was so radically changed in form, its original title, Origins, was changed to Origins II.
