Georgina Lohan

Porcelain Art & Design

Georgina Lohan is a Vancouver-based sculptor whose forty-year career has developed into a rigorous investigation of the Porous Body—the intersection where material density meets ephemeral frequency.

While recognized for her twenty-year dedication to porcelain sculpture, Lohan’s practice is built upon a deeper multidisciplinary foundation in painting, printmaking, set design and jewelry

For Lohan, pottery serves as the essential R&D for her monumental sculpture; the technical demands of vessel production act as a laboratory for the engineering required to manifest the "Divine Feminine" at a career-defining scale.

This diverse background informs her current pivot into geopolymer mineral composites, where she treats the relief surface as a canvas to integrate the language of painting with the tactile depth of ceramics.

This new body of work will be debuted with her upcoming solo exhibition at Il Museo in 2028.
