From the Heart was conceived during the making of the Origins Project, a series of large-scale porcelain sculptures which focus on the evolutionary and cultural development of humankind. This piece is a
visualization of the human immune system. All our evolutionary and personal history is visible in the structures, processes and composition of this system.
The details of red and white blood cells, plasma, platelets, and Killer T cells organized into a bifurcated design are intended to convey a sensation of flow, energy, and balance.
